Trials Experience Spain Riding Tour Report

The first ever Trials Experience Tour went off without a hitch! I will give you a run down of the tour.
We met in Barcelona on Monday 23rd July so we could group up and have a welcome dinner. Early Tuesday morning we drove 2 and a bit hours to Pascuet Offroad centre in Tost. Lunch was waiting for us and then we did an afternoon training session.   We trained Wednesday morning in a class environment and then went for a trail ride (excursion) in the afternoon. This was a great break up of the day as we got to look around this amazing place.
Thursday we did a factory tour of Ossa, Gas Gas and S3 parts. It was great to see where the bikes come from and meet everyone. We stayed in Girona Thursday night and then on Friday morning we drove to Sherco. After that we did a little sightseeing on the way back to Jordis.   Saturday morning we went to Andorra. Its a separate country next to Spain and France and is well known for cheap shopping. This was a free day where everyone relaxed and had a look around.
Sunday we had a full day’s trail riding. We went out from 9am – 12pm, returned for lunch at 1pm then went out on another loop at 3pm – 6pm. AWESOME!!   Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday it was back to school in the morning and trail ride in the afternoon.
We then cruised back to Barcelona on Wednesday afternoon and had a day of sightseeing on Thursday before everyone flew home on Friday.
Trent and I made our way up to the Beta factory in Florence, Italy for a tour.. Great!
The tour includes all transfers, accomidation, meals, bike hire, coaching, fuel, motel accomidation.. All you need to do is get to Barcelona and back and have travel insurance (we can advise which one you need). The riding is for all levels and Jordi is a great coach so he works with each student personally. There is a limit of 8 on the group so its nice small group sizes. The accomidation is so awesome! Nice and clean and the meals are all home cooked by Jordis Sister, Dolorj. She makes huge meals for every sitting so you wont go hungry!   PM or call me for details on dates for next year and pricing..

The Trials Experience Team is off to Spain!

Trent and Cass from Trials Experience are off to Spain today to embark on the first Trials riding tour!

We have a group of 8 people travelling over to Jordi Pascuet’s Offroad Centre in Tost to do a 5 day riding school and also a tour of Gas Gas, Ossa, Sherco and S3.

Please note all orders will be processed on their return in 3 weeks.

The new JTG Trials bike has arrived!

The latest bike from Jordi Tares has arrived into the Trials Experience fleet!

The 300cc beast has all the trick bit on it including:

The new JT trial, with V3 suspension system, is designed to provide the best suspension package. The position of the damper, anchored laterally to the chassis, lowers the overall weight considerably without losing performance, – it is ideal for MotoTrials.

Conceptually, the damper has been placed in a position to exert pressure longitudinally to the main Chassis tube, and the swingarm’s upper profile.  All the anchors are aligned for the use of short bolts and a reduction in these specific stress areas.

Three rods, three bolts, three movements in one axis, have become this evolution – the system called V3.

The result of hundreds of hours of  research, JTG have developed a revolutionary chassis. It has exceptional performance, optimum triangulation, and a reduction in total volume, size and weight. it’s forged aluminium for strength, and the modern CAD design has allowed  optimizing variables, so increasing materials only where most  needed.

The fuel tank is integrated inside the chassis, and uses inner tubes for greater fuel capacity without increasing the external volume, and it improves the rigidity of the assembly.

The swingarm is integral to the optimum design of the bike, made in 6061 forged aluminium it allows variable profile forming, and incredible strength for the laterally mounted shock absorber.

The engine was designed and conceived specifically for Trial – small dimensions, reliability and performance are utmost. it has a crank that has a larger set of wheels providing greater inertia and reduces the need of a very heavy flywheel hanging “outboard’ and stressing the journals and main bearings like a traditional trials motor. The gearbox is 5 speed.

A strategic piece of engine performance is the airfilter box. Designed to have almost three litre capacity and a smooth uninterupted flow to the carb, it gives the engine maximum power. The filter is easily serviced with the side door in the air box, and the spring retaining mechanism.

Event Report – Blake Fox

Trials Experiecne sponsored rider Blake Fox has put together a great event report from the recently held Aussie Titles and NZ Titles.

In October this year I went to the “Vine Inn Barossa 2011 Australian Moto Trials Championships” held at Eden Valley South Australia. My parents and I arrived on Thursday evening to Eden Valley and I got to look at my brand new “2011 Gas Gas TXT Pro Racing 125cc” trials bike for the first time. It was a long night having to wait to ride the bike the next day. On Friday I got to ride my bike to run it in and get some practise for 5 hours. The bike felt awesome to ride, I couldn’t wait to compete on it. I couldn’t practise on Saturday as there was no practise venue. On Sunday I competed in the Youth Class (16yr to 21yr olds) of the champs. I found the sections reasonably straight forward as I compete in Expert Grade here at home in NZ. I finished 2nd for the day as I still had to take it easy on the bike as it wasn’t completely run in.

On Monday the sections were more technical, I finished 2nd again which meant I was 2nd overall in Youth Class in the Australian Championships. The experience was great to ride in a different country on different terrain and we made contact with people who will make future trips across the Tasman much easier.

I would like to thank Paul Arnott from “The Hell Team” who is the importer of Gas Gas who we brought the bike off he also transported the bike to the venue and arranged for it to fly home.

Also Trent and Cass from “Trials Experience” who were also very helpful when Dads bag with all his motor bike gear, (he was my minder) did not turn up on the plane with us from NZ.

I have also just competed in the “2011 Beta Novogar New Zealand Moto Trials Championships’ over labour weekend, held near Hamilton. I travelled the week before the champs to train with the current NZ champion Jake Whitaker and runner up Karl Clark. I competed in the Expert Class, which is the top class in NZ at the champs. Saturday I struggled as the sections involved very large rock steps, being on a 125cc bike I found it more difficult than the other competitors who are on 250cc & 290cc bikes. Sunday I found difficult again as there were large banks, logs and slippery tree roots. Monday I rode a lot better as the sections were in slippery creeks and wet tree roots, these sections were more technical which suited me. Over all for the weekend I finished 5th in the Expert Class.

I would like to thank Brendon Wadsworth from “Marlborough Trials Centre” for his continued support, everyone else that has supported me in many ways, donations, property owners for letting me practise on their property, my parents and family for all their support.

Blake has been getting some press lately as well, check it out!
